Lee Cronin is the writer and director of the 2023 American supernatural horror film Evil Dead Rise. The film is the fifth in the Evil Dead series. Lily Sullivan and Alyssa Sutherland play two sisters who are estranged from one another and are attempting to survive and protect their family from demons. Supporting roles are played by Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, and Nell Fisher, who makes her directorial debut.

The film was directed by Lee Cronin, written by Lee Cronin, based on characters written by Sam Raimi, produced by Rob Tapert, and starring Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols, Nell Fisher, and Morgan Davies. It will be released on March 15, 2023 (SXSW) and April 21, 2023 (United States By October 2019, Sam Raimi had announced the development of a new film with Cronin writing and directing, Rob Tapert producing, Raimi and Bruce Campbell executive producing, and Raimi. The involvement of New Line Cinema, the distributor of the initial film, as a production company was announced. From June to October 2021, principal photography took place in New Zealand.

The movie was originally going to premiere on HBO Max, a streaming service, but Warner Bros. Pictures, the movie's distributor, decided to first release the movie in theaters after positive test screenings.

Evil Dead Rise premiered at South by Southwest (SXSW) on March 15, 2023, and Warner Bros. Pictures released it in the United States on April 21. Despite having a production budget of $15–19 million, the film has grossed over $146 million worldwide and received generally favorable reviews from critics. It is the series' highest-grossing film.
